ARKLATEX...

AT 1240 PM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED AN 80
MILE WIDE AREA OF NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING SOUTHEAST
OF A LINE FROM WOODVILLE TEXAS NORTHEASTWARD TO NEAR MANY LOUISIANA TO
NEAR JONESBORO AND LAKE PROVIDENCE LOUISIANA.  THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH
THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WERE LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF LEESVILLE AND
APPROACHING ALEXANDRIA.

MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 40 TO 45 MPH.

AT 146 PM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED AN 80
MILE WIDE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING SOUTHEAST OF A
LINE FROM LUFKIN TEXAS NORTHEASTWARD TO MANSFIELD AND COUSHATTA TO NEAR
MONROE AND LAKE PROVIDENCE LOUISIANA.  THE THUNDERSTORM WITH THE HEAVIESRAINFALL IS LOCATED NEAR CONVERSE LOUISIANA.

MOVEMENT OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 40 TO 45 MPH WHILE
THE ENTIRE AREA WAS DRIFTING NORTHWARD.

...SHOWERS AND STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN AND EASTERN PORTIONS
OF THE ARKLATEX AND EAST CENTRAL TEXAS...

AT 220 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT INDICATED A
20 MILE WIDE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTH
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST LOUISIANA FROM NEAR BIENVILLE EAST TO JUST NORTH
OF RUSTON AND MONROE EXTENDING EAST TO NEAR BASTROP LOUISIANA.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO INDICATED ACROSS PORTIONS OF EAST
CENTRAL TEXAS AND WEST CENTRAL LOUISIANA FROM EAST OF LUFKIN ACROSS THE
SAM RAYBURN RESERVOIR NORTHEAST TO CONVERSE EXTENDING EAST TO NEAR
PLEASANT HILL...POWHATTAN AND CHESTNUT LOUISIANA. STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
WITHIN THIS AREA WERE LOCATED FROM NEAR MILAM IN EAST CENTRAL TEXAS
ACROSS THE TOLEDO BEND RESERVOIR TO NEAR NATCHIOTCHES AND POWHATAN
LOUISIANA.

INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORMS CELLS WERE MOVING EAST AT NEAR 45 MPH WHILE THE
ENTIRE AREA WAS MOVING TO THE NORTH AT 20 TO 25 MPH.

STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING HAVE THE
POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WINDS IN EXCESS OF 35 TO 45 MPH ALONG
WITH DEADLY LIGHTNING...BREIF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND POSSIBLE SMALL
HAIL.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO EFFECT SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL
PORTIONS OF THE ARKLATEX THIS AFTERNOON AND NORTHERN SECTIONS LATER THIS
EVENING AND TONIGHT.

STAY TUNNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR FURTHER UPDATES AND POSSIBLE
