FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  730 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...S...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA
 
   ...BARBOUR COUNTY...TAYLOR COUNTY
 
THIS WARNING EXPANDS THE EARLIER FLASH FLOOD WARNING TO INCLUDE ALL OF
TAYLOR COUNTY AND ADDS BARBOUR COUNTY.
 
THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DUMP HEAVY RAIN OVER BARBOUR AND TAYLOR
COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA. AN AUTOMATED RAIN GUAGE
RECORDED 1.7 INCHES OF RAIN IN EASTERN TAYLOR COUNTY DURING THE LAST 1
TO 2 HOURS. RADAR PRECIPITATION ESTIMATES INDICATED 2.0 TO 2.5 INCHES OF
RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE LAST TWO HOURS IN EASTERN TAYLOR COUNTY AND
NORTHEASTERN BARBOUR COUNTY.
 
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED OVER THIS AREA DURING THE NEXT ONE TO
TWO HOURS.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
