AT 1210 PM MST...PHOENIX DOPPLER RADAR WAS SHOWN STRONG THUNDERSTORMS IN MOHAVE AND YAVAPAI COUNTIES. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS APPEAR TO BE NORTHWEST OF PRESCOTT OVER THE PRESCOTT NATIONAL FOREST. ANOTHER AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG HIGHWAY 89... SOUTHWEST OF PRESCOTT AND NORTH OF YARNELL. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING FROM THE WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 20 MPH...AND DO HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND SMALL HAIL. AT 120 PM MST...PHOENIX DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING ACROSS YAVAPAI COUNTY. THE STRONGEST ACTIVITY ON RADAR AT THIS TIME WAS LOCATED JUST TO THE NORTH OF CROWN KING. MOVEMENT WAS SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST AT LESS THAN 10 MPH. HEAVY RAINFALL...FREQUENT DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...SMALL HAIL...AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARE LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS. SINCE THESE STORMS ARE MOVING SLOWLY AND PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL...SOME FLOODING OF WASHES AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
