000 TTAA00 KPIT 122341 TORPIT PAC051-130030- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PITTSBURGH PA 739 PM EDT SAT AUG 12 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM EDT FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN WEST PENNSYLVANIA ...FAYETTE COUNTY AT 738 PM RADAR SHOWED A POSSIBLE TORNADO IN EAST CENTRAL FAYETTE COUNTY A FEW MILES NORTH OF OHIOPYLE PENNSYLVANIA. THE STORM IS MOVING SOUTH SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH AND WILL MOVE OVER OR JUST EAST OF OHIOPYLE AND THEN ALONG THE BORDER OF FAYETTE AND SOMERSET COUNTIES IN PENNSYLVANIA. BY 830 PM...THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO GARRETT COUNTY MARYLAND. IF THE STORM MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH...A WARNING MAY BE ISSUED FOR GARRETT COUNTY MARYLAND LATER. IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT...GO TO AN INTERIOR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.
