MARION COUNTY AND TUCKER COUNTY IN NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA. THIS MORNINGS HEAVY RAIN...2 INCHES IN SPOTS...HAS CAUSED SMALL STREAM FLOODING. ALTHOUGH THE RAIN HAS SUBSIDED...RUNOFF FROM THE HILLS WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE STREAM RISES AND FLOODING INTO MIDDAY. MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT. CHILDREN SHOULD BE ADVISED NOT TO PLAY NEAR FLOOD WATERS. THEY COULD BE SWEPT AWAY.
