FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  645 PM EDT
FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN THE WEST VIRGINIA PANHANDLE
 
   ...BROOKE COUNTY...HANCOCK COUNTY
 
PITTSBURGH WEATHER RADAR INDICATES THAT UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS
FALLEN IN THE PAST HOUR ACROSS HANCOCK AND BROOKE COUNTIES. STREAMS AND
CREEKS WILL RISE RAPIDLY AS THIS HEAVY RAINFALL FLOWS INTO THE STREAMS.
URBAN FLOODING WILL ALSO OCCUR AS THE STORM SEWERS WILL BE UNABLE TO
HANDLE THIS HEAVY RAINFALL.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
