THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  545 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
 
   ...EASTERN MIDDLESEX COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
 
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS ENTERING THE EASTERN SECTION OF MIDDLESEX
COUNTY AT 450 PM. IT WAS MOVING SOUTH 25 MPH AND ACCORDING TO RADAR HAS
THE CAPABILITY OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THE STORM SHOULD MOVE ACROSS THE
TOWN OF EAST HAMPTON AROUND 5 PM AND NEAR MOODUS AROUND 515 PM.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
