THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  530 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT
 
   ...NORTHERN NEW LONDON COUNTY
 
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER
CENTRAL TOLLAND COUNTY. THIS THUNDERSTORM PRODUCED UP TO BASEBALL SIZE
HAIL AS IT MOVED OVER VERNON AND IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. IT
WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH. IT WILL MOVE OVER LEBANON AND COLCHESTER
IN NEW LONDON COUNTY BY 445 PM.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
