FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 AM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY

TORRENTIAL RAINS HAVE CAUSED EXTENSIVE FLOODING PROBLEMS IN THE WARNED
AREAS MAINLY OF ROADWAYS AND IN THOSE POOR DRAINAGE LOCATIONS. HOURLY
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES HAVE BEEN OBSERVED.
UNFORTUNATELY THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAVE REMAINED IN THE SAME GENERAL AREA
FOR THE PAST 2 TO 3 HOURS.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE` FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
