THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OMAHA HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA
 
   ...BUTLER COUNTY
 
AT 1147 AM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM JUST NORTH OF ULYSSES...40 MILES NORTHWEST OF LINCOLN. THIS
STORM WILL ALSO PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT COULD CAUSE LOWLAND
FLOODING.  THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.
 
 
THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT.  PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA
SHOULD GET INTO A REINFORCED BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  STAY
AWAY FROM WINDOWS AND BE PREPARED FOR DAMAGING WINDS AS WELL AS
DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
