MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN CONTINUES OVER MONTEREY COUNTY AND 
ALREADY SWOLLEN STREAMS AND CREEKS ARE AT OR ABOVE BANKFUL. THERE 
HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS OR FLOODING WHICH WILL CONTINUE UNTIL 
ABOUT 9 PM. MONTEREY COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES REPORTS 
EVACUATIONS ALONG THE ARROYO SECO RIVER AND THE CARMEL RIVER DUE TO
FLOODING.

RAINFALL HAS LESSENED IN THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION WITH ONLY 
LOCAL FLOODING EXPECTED THROUGH THE EVENING. THESE AREAS ARE 
PRIMARILY WHERE RIVERS AND STREAMS OVERFLOWED THEIR BANKS EARLIER 
IN THE DAY AND HAS NOT YET DRAINED OFF.

MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. NEVER TRY 
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE 
RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

FORECAST CHARTS INDICATE ONLY SCATTERED SHOWERS OVER THE AREA SATURDAY
WITH DRY WEATHER SUNDAY.
