DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR IN MISSOULA HAS PICKED UP A LARGE THUNDERSTORM
JUST NORTH OF HAMILTON MOVING NORTH AT ABOUT 30 MPH. SPOTTER IN HAMILTON
REPORTED 1/2 INCH HAIL WITH THIS STORM.
 
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.

 210 PM MDT THU JUN 15 1995

...THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED IN WESTERN MONTANA...

THUNDERSTORMS ARE BEGINNING TO RUMBLE ACROSS WESTERN MONTANA THIS
AFTERNOON.  A LINE OF LIGHT SHOWERS HAS LINGERED ACROSS WESTERN MONTANA
MUCH OF THE MORNING RUNNING FROM JUST WEST OF KALISPELL DOWN TO ABOUT
SALMON IDAHO.  WITH THE AFTERNOON HEATING...SOME OF THESE STORMS ARE NOW
STARTING TO INTENSIFY.

AT 200 PM MISSOULA DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG STORM ABOUT 10 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF DARBY MOVING TO THE NORTH-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 15 MILES PER
HOUR. THIS STORM SHOULD MOVE INTO THE DARBY AND HAMILTON AREAS OVER THE
NEXT HOUR BRINGING THE POSSIBILITY OF STRONG WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND
STRONG WINGS.  ANOTHER STORM WAS ALSO INTENSIFYING NEAR RONAN...MOVING
NORTHEAST TOWARD POLSON.

THESE STORMS SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING
HOURS.  PERSONS IN ALL AREAS OF WESTERN MONTANA SHOULD STAY ALERT TO THE
POSSIBILITY OF RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON.
THESE THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTAIN BRIEF HEAVY RAIN...HAIL AND STRONG
WINDS.  IF THUNDERSTORMS APPROACH...SEEK SHELTER INDOORS.
