000 TTAA00 KMKE 162214 SVRMKE WIC111-162315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN WI 513 PM CDT TUE MAY 16 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN ...SAUK COUNTY AT 508 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS DETECTED BY MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN DOPPLER RADAR 60 MILES NORTHWEST OF MADISON OR 7 MILES WEST OF VALTON MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST AT 35 MPH. THIS SEVERE STORM WILL BE NEAR LOGANVILLE BY 540 PM CDT. LOGANVILLE IS IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF SAUK COUNTY. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF DAMAGINfG WINDS AND LARGE HAIL AS IT MOVED THROUGH VERNON COUNTY BETWEEN 400 AND 500 PM. GO INSIDE A STURDY BUILDING AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. KAPELA/EISE

LOW PRESSURE IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA WILL MOVE TOWARD THE LAKE SUPERIOR REGION BY EVENING. SOUTH WINDS AHEAD OF THE LOW WILL PULL INCREASINGLY MOIST AIR INTO WISCONSIN ALONG WITH WARM AIR. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL ENTER WESTERN WISCONSIN LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EXIT THE STATE BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD FORM AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT WITH THE STORMS PUSHING INTO WESTERN WISCONSIN THIS AFTERNOON. THESE STORMS ARE THEN EXPECTED IN EASTERN SECTIONS OF THE STATE THIS EVENING. SOME OF THE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE WITH THE MAIN THREAT BEING DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.
