THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  745 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA
 
   ...WESTERN COLLIER COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS ALONG THE SOUTHEAST FLORIDA COAST
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
AT 635 PM EDT MIAMI RARAD INDICATED A NORTH TO SOUTH ORIENTED
LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO THE WESTERN
PORTIONS OF COLLIER COUNTY FROM THE COASTAL WATERS. STORMS WERE
MOVING NORTH TO NORTHEAST NEAR 30 MPH. WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH COULD
OCCUR FROM MARCO ISLAND NORTHWARD TO NAPLES PARK IN THE NORTHWEST
PART OF THE COUNTY UNTIL 745 PM EDT.
 
DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY
LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. SEEK
SHE@LTER IN A STRONG BUILDING. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. DO NOT USE
TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES.
