THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  930 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA
 
   ...DADE COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS ALONG THE SOUTHEAST FLORIDA COAST
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IS MOVING
NORTHEAST ACROSS DADE COUNTY. AT 820 AM THE LINE STRECTED FROM WEST
KENDALL TO 14 MILES WEST OF FLORIDA CITY AND EXTENDED SOUTH TO THE UPPER
REACES OF FLORIDA BAY. THE LINE WAS MOVING TOWARDS METROPOLITAN DADE
COUNTY AT 25 MILES A HOUR.
 
DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. SEEK
SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. DO NOT USE
TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES.
