THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 AM CDT
FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS......
 
IN WEST TENNESSEE
 
   ...TIPTON COUNTY
 
AT 511 AM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ALONG THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER ABOUT 7 MILES WEST OF MUNFORD. THE STORM WAS MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BRING DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL TO
MUNFORD...BRIGHTON AND COVINGTON BETWEEN NOW AND 600 AM.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
