FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  400 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN WEST TEXAS

   ...GAINES COUNTY

AT 1256 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED
THAT BETWEEN 2 AND 2 1/2 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN 8 MILES NORTHEAST
OF HOBBS NEW MEXICO...IN GAINES COUNTY...WITHIN THE PAST HOUR. THE
LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS HEAVY RAINFALL IS MOVING
EAST VERY SLOWLY.  PERSONS TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY 180 IN WESTERN
GAINES COUNTY SHOULD BE SPECIALLY CAREFUL OF WATER COVERING THE ROAD.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
