THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LUBBOCK HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  615 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHWEST TEXAS
 
   ...DICKENS COUNTY...SOUTHERN TERRY COUNTY
 
AT 517 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM ALONG THE SOUTHERN TERRY COUNTY BORDER. THIS STORM WAS
LOCATED JUST WEST OF WELCH IN NORTHWEST DAWSON COUNTY...AND IT WAS
MOVING VERY SLOWLY EAST AT 10 MPH. ELSEWHERE...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WAS DETECTED BY RADAR OVER WESTERN DICKENS COUNTY...JUST SOUTHWEST
OF THE CITY OF DICKENS.  THIS LATTER STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST
AT 25 MPH.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
