AT 935...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS JUST NORTHWEST OF KAHOKA. THE STORM
WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THE TOWNS OF
KAHOKA...ALEXANDRIA...AND PEAKSVILLE ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING ACROSS FAYETTE COUNTY...

AT 540 AM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A CLUSTER
OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER FAYETTE COUNTY.  PERSONS IN RAMSEY AND
VANDALIA COULD EXPERIENCE TORRENTAIL RAIN BETWEEN 535 AM AND 615 AM
THIS MORNING.

THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AROUND 25 MILES AN HOUR.
THE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN FELL DURING THE
PAST 3 HOURS ACROSS PORTIONS OF MACOUPIN AND FAYETTE COUNTIES.
MOTORISTS SHOULD WATCH FOR PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND DRIVE
CAREFULLY.
