THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  515 PM CDT
FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
 
   ...POINTE COUPEE PARISH
 
AT 415 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WITH POSSIBLE TORNADO OVER ST LANDRY PARISH IN THE VICINITY OF PALMETTO.
THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AROUND 30 MILE AN HOUR. THE COMMUNITIES
OF BATCHELOR...MORGANZA AND NEW ROADS ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.
 
THIS TORNADO WARNING REPLACES THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR POINTE
COUPEE PARISH.
