AT 330 PM CDT CAUSEWAY POLICE REPORTED E WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH AND GUSTY. AT 3 PM MANDEVILLE HAD AN EAST WIND OF 34 MILES AN HOUR WHILE THE LAKEFRONT AIRPORT REPORTED AN EAST WIND OF 28 KNOTS OR 42 MILES AN HOUR. DRIVERS OF AUTOMOBILES AND ESPECIALLY HIGH PROFILE VECHILES SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION AS A SUDDEN GUST OF WIND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THERE IS A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN AND THE OTHER TIDAL LAKES IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA BECAUSE OF THE STRONG WINDS CAUSED BY A TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT.
