THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  515 PM CDT
FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH MISSISSIPPI
 
   ...PIKE COUNTY...WALTHALL COUNTY
 
AT 405 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER SOUTH PIKE COUNTY NEAR MAGNOLIA. THE
THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AROUND 35 MPH AND WILL MOVE ACROSS
SOUTH PIKE COUNTY INTO WALTHALL COUNTY BETWEEN 400 AND 500 PM. THE TOWN
OF TYLERTOWN IS IN THE PATH OF THIS THUNDERSTORM.
 
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
