000 TTAA00 KLCH 282323 RRA SVRLCH LAC059-290030- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LAKE CHARLES LA 621 PM CDT WED JUN 28 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN CENTRAL LOUISIANA ...SOUTHERN LA SALLE PARISH AT 620 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR THE WESTERN EDGE OF CATAHOULA LAKE IN RAPIDES PARISH. THIS STORM WILL MOVE INTO SOUTHERN LA SALLE PARISH SHORTLY. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST NEAR 10 MPH. GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL HAS BEEN REPORTED IN PINEVILLE WITHIN THE LAST 20 MINUTES. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
