000 TTAA00 KLCH 190214 COR SVRLCH LAC045-099-190315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING...DELETE TORNADO WATCH PORTION OF WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LAKE CHARLES LA 908 PM CDT THU MAY 18 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA ...IBERIA PARISH...UPPER ST MARTIN PARISH AT 905 PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ON THE ST MARTIN AND IBERIA PARISHES 4 MILES NORTHWEST OF NEW IBERIA. THIS STORM PRODUCED WIND DAMAGE OVER SOUTHERN LAFAYETTE PARISH EARLIER. MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 35 MPH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL....AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON`T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
