SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION   ...
 
IN SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY
 
   ...JACKSON COUNTY
 
AT 1005 PM...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM 40 MILES SOUTHWEST
TO 15 MILES WEST OF JACKSON...OR IN SOUTH JACKSON...WEST OWSLEY
AND SOUTH LEE COUNTIES. MOVEMENT WAS WEST NORTHWEST AROUND 15 MPH.
THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL CONTAIN LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS UP
TO 60 MPH AND VERY HEAVY RAINS UP TO .75 INCH IN 15 MINUTES. THESE
STORMS WILL AFFECT ANNVILLE THROUGH 1030 PM AND REACH MCKEE BY
1030 PM.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
