THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSONVILLE HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 AM EDT
FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS ...
 
IN NORTH FLORIDA
 
   ...SOUTHERN COLUMBIA COUNTY
 
THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERRIFS OFFICE HAS REPORTED THAT FLOODING IS
OCCURRING IN THE THREE RIVERS ESTATES AREA ALONG THE ICHETUCKNEE RIVER.
NO HOMES OR ROADWAYS ARE REPORTED THREATENED AT THIS TIME. US 27 PASSES
THROUGH THAT AREA AND MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE CAUTION.
 
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER THE AREA HAVE BEEN IN THE 5 TO 8 INCH RANGE
DURING THE DAY TODAY WITH AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 5 INCHES POSSIBLE TONIGHT.
PERSONS IN THE THREE RIVERS ESTATES AREA ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN ALERT FOR
POSSIBLE FLOODING AND TO BE PREPARED TO MOVE IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER
GROUND IF NECESSARY.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND AS NECESSARY.
