FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
 
   ...SOUTHERN RANKIN COUNTY...SIMPSON COUNTY
 
AT 546 PM DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO NEAR THE
PEARL RIVER...WEST OF HARRISVILLE. A SECOND TORNADO APPERAS TO BE
FORMING 5 MILES WEST OF PUCKETT. THE STORMS ARE MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.
 
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS IN AN
INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  GET UNDER STURDY FURNITURE.

WESTERN AND NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI...HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE ACROSS THE STATE BUT
NO ACTIVITY IS NEAR SEVERE LIMITS AT THIS TIME. THUNDERSTORMS WILL
INCREASE IN INTENSITY AND COVERAGE DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND
EARLY EVENING AS A COLD FRONT MOVES CLOSER TO THE STATE. PLEASE STAY
TUNED FOR LATER STATEMENTS AS THIS SITUATION DEVELOPS.
