SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  230 PM EST (330 PM EDT)
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHWEST LOWER PENINSULA
 
   ...SOUTHERN BERRIEN COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN
 
 
AT 245 PM EDT...RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER UNION PIER
AND HEBERT...OR 18 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST OF SOUTH BEND. THE STORM WAS
MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH. COMMUNITIES IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM
ARE BUCHANAN AND THREE OAKS. TORRENTIAL RAINS...GUSTY WINDS...AND HAIL
ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
