203 PM EDT (103 PM EST) THU AUG 17 1995

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT
(8 PM EST) FOR MUCH OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL OHIO AND
   EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST INDIANA...

AT 2 PM EDT A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM
BLOOMINGTON INDIANA TO TOLEDO OHIO.  THE LINE OF STORMS WAS
MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH AND IS EXPECTED TO EXPAND AS IT MOVES ACROSS
EAST CENTRAL INDIANA...AND WESTERN AND CENTRAL OHIO.

THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO INTENSIFY.  SOME COULD PRODUCE DAMAGING
WINDS AND LARGE HAIL THAT IS THREE-QUARTERS OF AN INCH IN DIAMETER
OR GREATER.  FREQUENT LIGHTNING HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED WITH THESE
STORMS.  A FEW OF THESE STORMS HAVE ALREADY PRODUCED RADAR
ESTIMATED RAINFALL OF UP TO 1.6 INCHES IN AN HOUR ACROSS
WESTERN MERCER COUNTY OHIO.  THUS...LOCALIZED FLOODING WILL
ALSO BE A HAZARD.

IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
