IN SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA ...PENDER COUNTY AT 317 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES NORTHWEST OF BURGAW ON HIGHWAY 421 NEAR THE COMMUNITY OF COSTIN. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR. THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL MOVE TO NEAR ROCKY POINT BY 4 PM. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN OCCUR WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM. HAWKINS
