Area forecast discussion, Jun 28, 3:00 PM CDT, 4 hours 24 minutes before
SOUTHEAST TEXAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON TX 300 PM CDT WED JUN 28 1995 SCATTERED RW/TRW ACROSS COASTAL AREAS OF SE TX AT THIS TIME AS INTERACTION OF OUTFLOW BOUNDARY FROM EARLY MORNING ACTIVITY TO OUR N AND NW...UPPER LEVEL JET...WEAK SHORTWAVES...AND AFTERNOON HEATING ASSIST IN DESTABLIZATION OF THE ATMOSPHERE. MODELS CONTINUE TO POINT TO SHORTWAVES MOVING ACROSS THE AREA THU AND FRI. THESE DISTURBANCES ALONG WITH HIGH MOISTURE LEVELS (PRECIP WATERS 1.75 TO 2.00 INCHES AND MEAN RH VALUES >70%) AND LI/S AROUND -5 SHOULD KEEP RW/TRW CHANCES NEAR FWC NUMBERS BOTH THU AND FRI. BEST CONCENTRATION SHOULD BE DURING THE DAYS AS AFTERNOON HEATING KICKS IN. WILL GO WITH FWC POPS BUT WILL MAKE A FEW ADJUSTMENTS ON TEMPS. THE TEMP FORECAST COULD BE TRICKY DEPENDING ON RW/TRW LOCATION (2 PM READINGS...HOU=93,NWSO HOU=76,GLS=91). WE'LL DO OUR BEST. <42> IAH EE 075/092 075/091 074 42242
