000 TTAA00 KHOU 180522 FFWHOU TXC455-180715- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON TX 1120 PM CST TUE JAN 17 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HOUSTON HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 115 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEAST TEXAS ...TRINITY COUNTY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE OVER PARTS OF THE COUNTY. THIS ACTIVITY WILL PRODUCE ADDITONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM 1/2 TO 1 INCH. WATER WILL CONTINUE TO COVER SOME ROADWAYS. TRINITY COUNTY SHERIFFS REPORT HIGH WATER ON ROADS FROM APPLE SPRING TO HELMIC TO GROVETON. HIGH WATER HAS WASHED OUT UNPAVED ROADS NEAR APPLE SPRING. RUNOFF FROM THE CONTINUING SHOWERS WILL FURTHER AGGRAVATE THE POOR ROAD CONDITONS. MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR UNDERPASSES IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
