.THE TORNADO WATCH IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA
INCLUDING THE COUNTIES OF UNION... MECKLENBURG...CABARRUS...STANLY
... ANSON... AND ROWAN HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

THE TORNADO WATCH CONTINUES IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 PM EDT FOR THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN SOUTH CAROLINA... CHEROKEE... CHESTER...
LANCASTER AND YORK COUNTIES.

.AT 1250 PM EDT WEATHER RADAR SHOWED SCATTERED SHOWERS DEVELOPING
ACROSS NORTHERN GASTON COUNTY NEAR HIGH SHOALS EXTENDING SOUTHWEST
TO JUST WEST OF SHELBY IN CLEVELAND COUNTY. THESE SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT ABOUT 30 MPH.

EVERYONE IN THE PATH OF THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CAN EXPECT
HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY WINDS AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
