ANSON...IREDELL...ROWAN AND ALEXANDRIA.

.AT 628 PM EDT WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS JUST EAST OF HICKORY IN CATAWBA COUNTY. THIS LINE
OF STORMS EXTENDS NORTHEAST INTO NORTHERN IREDELL COUNTY NEAR
STATESVILLE. THE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDS SOUTH TO NEAR LINCOLNTON
IN LINCOLN COUNTY.

OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG THE CABARRUS
AND STANLY COUNTY LINE. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING
TO THE EAST SOUTHEAST AROUND 25 MPH.

MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 30 MPH.

THUNDERSTORMS MOVING THROUGH MADISON...YANCEY...MITCHELL..AND AVERY
COUNTIES.

DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED UPTO 1 1/2 INCHES PER HOUR OF RAIN IN NORTHERN
SECTIONS OF MADISON COUNTY AND 1/2 TO 3/4 INCH PER HOUR IN YANCEY AND
MITCHELL COUNTIES.

DO TO THE AMOUNT OF INDICATED RAINFALL THERE MAY BE SOME MINOR FLOODING
OF SMALL STREAMS...AND ROADS.

STRONG GUSTY WINDS TO 45 MPH....SMALL HAIL...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND
BRIEF HEAVY RAINS ARE POSSIBLE.

THIS AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS AND RAIN SHOWERS WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST
AT 35 MPH.
