THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREENVILLE SPARTANBURG HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  345 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA
 
   ...HABERSHAM COUNTY
 
HEAVY RAINFALL OVERNIGHT AND EARLY THIS MORNING HAS CAUSED RIVERS
AND STREAMS TO RISE IN HABERSHAM COUNTY. A BRIDGE ON WILLBAND ROAD
WAS REPORTED TO BE UNDER WATER. ANOTHER BRIDGE CROSSING EAST GLADE
CREEK WAS BARRICADED DUE TO RISING WATER. OVER FOUR INCHES OF RAIN
HAD FALLEN IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTY.
 
MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION. DO NOT TRY TO
CROSS WATER COVER ROADS.
 
LOWLAND AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING SHOULD BE EVACUATED. PEOPLE
IN AREAS THAT ARE PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY
RISING WATER...AND GO TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
