000 TTAA00 KGLD 050312 FFWGLD COC063-125-050900- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GOODLAND KS 909 PM MDT SUN JUN 4 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GOODLAND HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 AM MDT (400 AM CDT) FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO ...NORTHERN KIT CARSON COUNTY IN NORTHEAST COLORADO ...SOUTHERN YUMA COUNTY AT 858 PM MDT FLASH FLOODING CONTINUES OVER SOUTHERN YUMA COUNTY NEAR BONNY DAM AND INTO NORTHERN KIT CARSON COUNTY IN COLORADO. THE FLASH FOOD WARNING IS BEING EXTENDED UNTIL 3 AM MDT MONDAY MORNING. THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINS CONTINUED TO MOVE OVER KIT CARSON AND SOUTHERN YUMA COUNTIES AND MOVE EAST AT 20 MPH. COUNTY ROAD 2 TWO MILES WEST OF 385 IS WASHED OUT WITH 3 TO 5 FEET OF WATER GOING ACROSS THE ROAD. HIGHWAY 385 JUST SOUTH OF THE BRIDGE HAS TWO FEET OF WATER OVER THE ROADWAY. CREEKS AND LOWLYING AREAS OVER NORTHERN KIT CARSON COUNTY COULD ALSO FLOOD AS THE WATER DRAINS EAST AND NORTHEAST. FLAGLER COLORADO REPORTED ONE AND ONE-HALF INCHES OF RAIN WITH SOME FLOODING PROBLEMS. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF FLOOD WATERS THREATEN... DO: NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. GLD WSR-88D SHOWG STRONG TSTMS FROM ECNTRL CO INTO EXTREME SW NE. GLD WSR-88D OHP PRODUCT CONFIRMING VERY HIGH RNFL AMOUNTS WITH THIS ACTIVITY. 1-3 INCH AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED ALONG THE SOUTH FORK REPUBLICAN RIVER FROM NRN KIT CARSON CNTY TO ST. FRANCIS IN NW KS. THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN JUST BELOW BONNY DAM. HWY 385 AND COUNTY RD 2 NR BONNY RESERVOIR HAVE BEEN CLOSED DUE TO WATER OVR ROADS. OTHER ROADS IN THAT AREA ALSO HAVE WATER RUNNING OVER THEM. THERE HAS ONLY BEEN LOCALIZED FLOODING IN THE PARK AREAS OF BONNY RESERVOIR. GLD HAS ISSUED A FFW FOR SRN YUMA/NRN KIT CARSON COUNTY.
