THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH TONIGHT ACROSS
ALL OF NORTH TEXAS. INCLUDED IN THE SLIGHT RISK AREA ARE THE CITIES OF
ABILENE...MINERAL WELLS...SHERMAN...PARIS...TYLER...LONGVIEW...
WACO...TEMPLE...KILLEEN AND THE DALLAS/FORT WORTH METROPLEX.

A STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE CONTINUED TO MOVE EASTWARD TOWARD
TEXAS WITH A DRYLINE BECOMING ESTABLISHED ACROSS THE EASTERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE INTO THE BIG BEND. ABUNDANT LOW MOISTURE WAS ADVECTING
NORTHWARD AHEAD OF THIS BOUNDARY WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE UPPER 50S TO
MID 60S ACROSS MUCH OF NORTH TEXAS...WITH FURTHER DESTABILIZATION
EXPECTED. STRONG LOW LEVEL JET AND STEEPENING LAPSE RATES WILL HELP TO
SUSTAIN THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT AND EARLY MONDAY. THUNDERSTORMS WILL
LIKELY FIRE ACROSS EXTREME WESTERN PARTS OF NORTH TEXAS BY LATE
AFTERNOON AND SPREAD ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF NORTH TEXAS TONIGHT AND
EARLY MONDAY.

THE PRIMARY THREAT FROM THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE FROM LARGE HAIL AND
DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS ALTHOUGH ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE
IN VICINITY OF CELL MERGERS ALONG THE LEADING EDGE OF ACTIVITY. AS
STORMS MOVE INTO CENTRAL AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF NORTH TEXAS...
LOCALIZED FLOODING WILL ALSO BECOME A THREAT TONIGHT.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS AND STORM SPOTTERS ACROSS THE WESTERN
PORTIONS OF NORTH TEXAS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE ACTIVATION
AFTER 3PM. ACTIVATION WILL BE NECESSARY AREAWIDE TONIGHT.
