...STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING WESTERN PORTIONS OF
NORTH TEXAS...

AT 617 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED AN AREA
OF THUNDERSTORMS...SOME SEVERE...OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHWESTERN TEXAS
AND THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.  THE LEADING EDGE OF THIS AREA EXTENDED FROM
NEAR WICHITA FALLS TO SWEETWATER.  THESE STORMS EXTENDED WESTWARD
INTO THE SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE.  ANOTHER THUNDERSTORM WAS
DEVELOPING BETWEEN ALBANY AND BRECKENRIDGE.

MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS WAS EAST AT 20 TO 30 MPH...AND WILL ENTER
WESTERN SECTIONS OF NORTH TEXAS WITHIN THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR WESTERN PORTIONS OF NORTH
CENTRAL TEXAS UNTIL 800 PM.
