MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A
SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

AT 520 PM...AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND STRONG THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS LOCATED BETWEEN GAINESVILLE...ARDMORE
OKLAHOMA...PARIS AND SHERMAN.  THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTH AT
15 MPH.  HOWEVER...CONTINUAL REDEVELOPMENT OF THUNDERSTORMS IN
THIS AREA HAS RESULTED RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL RATES OF BETWEEN
1.5 AND 2 INCHES BETWEEN 420 AND 520 PM.

DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT OF THUNDERSTORMS...THE
NORTHERN SECTIONS OF COOKE...GRAYSON AND FANNIN COUNTIES CAN
EXPECT VERY HEAVY RAIN RESULTING OF FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS
AND SOME ROADS AND FRExQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE CAUTIOUS WHILE DRIVING...AND
BOATERS ON AREA LAKES...ESPECIALLY LAKE TEXOMA...SHOULD HEAD FOR
