FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...HAMILTON COUNTY
 
AT 508 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED A LINE OF
THUNDERSTORMS...SOME PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN...EXTENDING FROM EVANT TO
FAIRY. MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS WAS NORTH NORTHEAST AT 15 TO 20 MPH.
RADAR ESTIMATED THAT RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES HAS
FALLEN OVER EASTERN HAMILTON COUNTY BETWEEN 400 AND 500 PM...MAINLY
BETWEEN LANHAM AND ALEMAN.
 
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE OVER EASTERN
HAMILTON COUNTY LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
 
THE GROUND IS NEARLY SATURATED OVER HAMILTON COUNTY...AND ADDITIONAL
HEAVY RAINS MAY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING...PARTICULARLY ALONG THE LEON
RIVER BELOW HIGHWAY 22.
 
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COhVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
