AZZ003-005-006-150100- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WINSLOW ARIZONA 130 PM MST TUE FEB 14 1995 ...WINDS ROAR ACROSS THE NORTHEAST PLATEAU...WHITE MOUNTAINS AND MOGOLLON RIM AREA... ...WIND WARNING FOR WHITE MOUNTAINS AND NORTHEAST PLATEAU UNTIL 6 PM MST... WINDS HAVE DESTROYED A BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION NEXT TO THE NWS OFFICE IN WINSLOW. NUMEROUS REPORTS OF BROKEN TREE BRANCHES HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN WINSLOW ALONG WITH REPORTS OF VARIOUS OBJECTS BEING BLOWN ABOUT. THE WINDS HAVE BEEN CLOCKED AT 61 MPH IN WINSLOW. BAROMETER READINGS CONTINUE TO DROP IN WINSLOW INDICATING THAT THE FRONTAL PASSAGE HAS NOT OCCURED YET AND THE POSSIBILITY EXISTS OF EVEN STRONGER GUSTS OCCURRING BEFORE DECREASING THIS EVENING. VISIBILIES HAVE DROPPED AT TIMES TO LESS THAN 1/4 MILE DUE TO BLOWING DUST. EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD BE TAKEN DRIVING THROUGHOUT THE WARNING AREA. CROSSWINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE CAN BLOW AROUND SMALL VEHICLES. HIGH PROFILE TRUCKS AND CARS TOWING TRAILERS ARE IN DANGER OF BEING BLOWN ABOUT ALSO. ANY OUTSIDE OBJECT NOT TIED DOWN OR OTHERWISE STABILIZED MAY BECOME AIRBORNE WITH A FORCE THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS. MILAZZO
