SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...COMAL COUNTY
 
AT 500 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 3 MILES EAST OF NEW BRAUNFELS. THE STORM WAS
MOVING WEST AT 20 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO NEW BRAUNFELS WITHIN 10 MINUTES
AND THE CANYON LAKE AREA WITHIN 30 MINUTES.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OVER 60 MPH.  THESE WINDS
BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES...
SOMETIMES BUILDINGS.  VERY LARGE HAIL CAN INJURE ANYONE CAUGHT
OUTSIDE.
