IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS ...LINN COUNTY IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI ...CLAY COUNTY AT 3 AM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS NEAR BLUE MOUND AND FROM NEAR PLATTE CITY TO DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY. TREES WERE DOWNED IN SHAWNEE AND OVERLAND PARK AND WINDS UP TO 70 MPH HAVE BEEN REPORTED. VERY HEAVY RAIN AND LARGE HAIL IS ALSO POSSIBLE.
