000 TTAA00 KMCI 100729 FFWMCI KSC107-101100- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY MO 230 AM CDT SAT JUN 10 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN KANSAS CITY HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING UNTIL 600 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS ...LINN COUNTY RAIN HAD ENDED ACROSS LINN COUNTY BUT RUNOFF FROM THE EARLIER THUNDERSTORMS WAS CONTINUING TO CAUSE FLOODING PROBLEMS IN THE COUNTY. ROADS...ESPECIALLY IN THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY...WERE BEING AFFECTED. THE RUNOFF WAS EXPECTED TO KEEP THE FLASH FLOODING OCCURRING FOR MOST OF THE NIGHT...SO THE WARNING IS BEING EXTENDED. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.

THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF RAIN TONIGHT AS MAIN SHORT WAVE MOVES THROUGH AREA.
