A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN.
THE WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR AREAS SOUTHWEST OF A LINE FROM GRAND HAVEN TO
HILLSDALE. THIS INCLUDES THE COMMUNITIES OF GRAND RAPIDS... HOLLAND...
BENTON HARBOR... KALAMAZOO... BATTLE CREEK... AND HILLSDALE.

A LINE OF STONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED ACROSS SOUTHERN LAKE
MICHIGAN AND INTO NORTHEAST ILLINOIS. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT
30 MPH... AND WILL TURN AND THEN MOVE TO THE SOUTHEAST WHEN THEY ENTER
SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL
BE THE STRONG WINDS. THE STORMS MAY PRODUCE WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH AND
POSSIBLY LARGE HAIL.
