SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN 450 AM CDT FRI JUL 14 1995 ...THUNDERSTORMS HEADED FOR MILLE LACS LAKE... AT 445 AM CDT...DULUTH RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING MILLE LACS LAKE. THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 45 MPH AND WILL MOVE OVER THE LAKE FROM 515 TO 6 AM. WINDS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH...MARBLE SIZE OR GREATER HAIL AND VERY HEAVY RAIN ARE EXPECTED AS THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVES OVER MILLE LACS LAKE. EARLY MORNING MARINERS ON MILLE LACS LAKE SHOULD HEAD FOR SHORE IMMEDIATELY. STRONG WINDS...YIELDING HIGH SEAS ARE EXPECTED DURING THE THUNDERSTORMS. DAP
