000 TTAA00 KHSV 111828 RRA SVRHSV ALC079-111930- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL 127 PM CDT SUN JUN 11 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HUNTSVILLE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 230 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTH ALABAMA ...LAWRENCE COUNTY AT 126 PM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN HUNTSVILLE INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN LAWRENCE COUNTY WEST OF HATTON. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 TO 30 MILES PER HOUR. THIS STORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER... AT 905 PM CDT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF RAINSHOWERS EXTENDING FROM PIEDMONT IN CALHOUN COUNTY TO LAFAYEE IN CHAMBERS COUNTY. WITHIN THE AREA OF RAINSHOWERS AN EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED IN NORTHCENTRAL CHAMBERS COUNTY JUST EAST OF MILLTOWN. THE AREA IS MOVING TO THE EAST AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES PER HOUR. STRONG GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAINFALL CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.
