AT 11:47 AM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER NORTHERN
JEFFERSON COUNTY JUST EAST OF MORRIS. THIS STORM IS MOVING EAST AROUND
10 MPH AND SHOULD MOVE TO THE PALMERDALE AREA AROUND NOON.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELEClTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM

AT 815 PM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN MONTGOMERY WAS
INDICATING A LINE OF SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM
TROY-LOUISVILLE -CLAYTON-EUFAULA. THIS LINE COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL AND STRONG WINDS.

STRONG GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...AND
VERY HEAVY RAINFALL CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.  MOTORISTS
SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN REDUCTIONS IN VISIBILITY IN AREAS
OF HEAVY RAIN. YOU SHOULD WATCH FOR PONDING ON AREA ROADWAYS AND
BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE HYDROPLANING.
