THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HURON SD HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 AM CDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA
 
   ...SOUTHEASTERN HUGHES COUNTY
 
AT 515 AM CDT...RADAR HAD INDICATED A SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORM IN
SOUTHEASTERN HUGHES COUNTY THAT HAS BEEN PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN IN
THE PAST TWO HOURS. DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED AT LEAST 2 1/2 INCHES OF
RAIN IN THIS AREA FROM THIS STORM.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
