THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE......

IN EAST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO

   ...GUADALUPE COUNTY

AT 1015 PM MDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS
ACROSS GUADALUPE COUNTY FROM SOUTHWEST OF SANTA ROSA TO NORTHWEST
OF NEWKIRK.

VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS REPORTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICALS IN
SANTA ROSA AT 1005 PM FROM ONE OF THE STORMS. A SECOND STORM
WAS LOCATED AROUND 10 MILES NORTHEAST OF SANTA ROSA. FREQUENT
LIGHTNING WAS INDICATED WITH BOTH THE STORMS.

THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST 25 TO 30 MPH.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.  HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO
DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
